There are no words to explain how one feels when someone offers a selfless act of kindness.

My Mama always said share

So this 32 year old decides to “share her spare”

Why would she want to help him?

Yes, we have been friends for a long time.  However, she is the mother of 3 small children.  During this process, we found out that she has helped many others.  You see she was going to help another woman, but the woman was too sick to receive her kidney.  This woman was a stranger – she just wanted to help.  When that did not work out, she remembered about Timmy needing a kidney…. so she transferred all her information to his case and got herself tested.

As we sit speechless, we try to cry, but she makes us laugh

My Mama always said share

We all decided, we would take this journey one day at a time – being there for each of us every step of the way.  And we would laugh….and only cry the happy tears.

Our journey continued all summer with her selflessly going through tests after tests, to see if she was “strong and healthy” enough to donate her kidney.

Speechless – why would someone go through all this to help another human.

It’s simple

Pass it on

  1. Sharing organs is no small act. Blessings to all involved. What a way to listen to the voice inside us that implores us to be a little kinder, to share what we have, and to leave this world a little better than we found it.

  2. I’m speechless. too. I am always amazed at how far some people will go to express kindness. It is a gift that gives and receives.

  3. My Mama always said to share. A simple, yet most important lesson. If we could all follow that mantra the world would be a much better place. So glad you and Timmy benefitted from it!!!!
